The available Indexed Premium Guarantee Rider (X-PGR), which provides a death benefit guarantee to any age up to attained age 121, may appeal to clients seeking long-term protection.
XL-EC2
Indexed Universal Life - Early Cash 2 (XL-EC2) is a no-premium-load product, with competitive early cash values. It offers potentially positive surrender values in year one when using the product’s Waiver of Surrender Charge Option1. When combined with its Table Shaving2 feature the XL-EC2 is particularly appropriate for large lump sums and competitive cases.
XL-EC2 offers competitive target premiums and may be appropriate for cases designed with large lump sums and moderate to high level funding levels. Great for retirement income sales, clients with sizable 1035s, business insurance cases and clients who desire early cash values.
XL-CV2
Indexed Universal Life - Cash Value 2 (XL-CV2) is a good long-term cash-value product. It offers attractive compensation with the highest target premium of the XL portfolio. Its broad range of face amounts (beginning at $25,000) make it appropriate for a wide range of clients.
XL-CV2 features high target premiums and may be appropriate for cases designed with high level funding at target or above. Great for supplemental retirement income sales without the market risk.

Index Selections
Midland National’s XL product line allows you to allocate premium to a Fixed Account, Index Account(s) or a combination of both. An Index Account offers an interest rate linked to the upward movement of a stock market index. One of the most significant features is the choice of stock market indexes. Midland National’s XL products offer six indexes and four crediting methods to choose from.
Minimum Policy Fund Value
The Minimum Policy Fund Value uses a 3% average interest rate in all years for all premiums, regardless of whether they are allocated to the Fixed Account or the Index Selections. Monthly Deductions are subtracted from the Minimum Policy Fund Value and Surrender Charges apply. At specific points in time, the Policy Fund will be compared to the Minimum Policy Fund Value. If the Policy Fund is less than the Minimum Policy Fund Value, we will increase the Policy Fund so that it is at least as large as the Minimum Policy Fund Value. guarantee on death, lapse, surrender or policy maturity. We make this comparison after eight policy years as well as at the time of any policy termination (including death, surrender, lapse or maturity) for XL-CV2 and XL-EC2 policies.
Net Zero-Cost Loans
What kind of access do your clients have to their cash values? Midland National's XL products offer contractually guaranteed zero-cost loans (loans charged and credited at the same rate for a net zero cost) on the full loan value of the policy starting in policy year 6 when Standard Policy Loans are chosen3. Net Zero-Cost Loans are available on the full loan value of the policy and is generally free from income tax4.
Accelerated Benefit RiderChronic Illness (ABR-C)
This innovative rider allows your client to receive up to 24% of the death benefit per year for expenses such as nursing home or home health care if they become unable to perform two of six activities of daily living (bathing, continence, dressing, eating, toileting, and transferring) or develops a severe cognitive impairment. ABR-C is available with no additional premium5.
Accelerated Benefit RiderTerminal Illness (ABR-T)
This rider allows your client to receive a portion of the death benefit if the base insured becomes terminally ill. ABR-T is available with no additional premium5.
